Wine Regions of New Zealand
The Wine Regions of New Zealand only produce ca. 1 percent of all wine in this world of ours, much like Austria’s wine production stats, but they are very well known and respected.
South Island Marlborough Valley produces highly desirable white wines
As you may well know, New Zealand produces excellent wines in the perfect climate on several of the islands. In the port city of Picton, you can taste many of the best wines, for example, from the South Island Marlborough Valley producers. Not least the white Sauvignon Blanc is well known. In this area, the terroir is perfect for white wines with sunny days and cool nights. A wine brand to look for could be Cloudy Bay near the Wairau River. From Naiper you can reach Hawke´s Bay with more than 140 wine producers. It is easy to find a wine tasting here in beautiful surroundings and excellent food to go with it.
