Dubai – a mind-blowing travel experience

Dubai is a huge city divided into several districts. It is worth putting yourself into the city’s structure to get the full experience. See also the map below. Dubai is one of the 7 emirates that collectively form the United Arab Emirates. It is a bit like an independent state/city at one time, and it is the most ambitious of all 7. Especially tourism and trade are growing in a hurry that almost all other countries would envy.

Dubai has won the offering to host EXPO 2020, a worldwide giant platform endorsed by the Bureau of International Exhibitions (BIE), Paris. As a relatively new destination, Dubai was at full speed until 2008, and after the crisis one is again in over-drive. After all, it is a desert town that annexes the sea and the desert when building. Infrastructures are second-to-none and tourist facilities are known by most as extremely convenient 3 hours from most significant Asian countries and 6 hours from Europe, the location optimal.

Dubai is all about that extraordinary  experience

It is very much about demonstrating what you can achieve: The city of superlatives could be said to be the largest, fastest, and, not least, the highest standard for new initiatives. Dubai offers close to everything you could wish for on a good holiday. An abundance of formidable luxury hotels, lofty high-rise buildings, white sandy beaches, huge shopping centers, and world-class gourmet restaurants.

Yas Island just a super trendy place

Abu Dhabi and Yas Island in the Emirates is one of the trendiest destinations right now and it is not difficult to understand why. Here you will find beautiful beaches, great shopping, and desert culture. Abu Dhabi is home to both a Formula 1 course and the Ferrari World theme park, where you can try out the world’s fastest roller coaster.

Ras al Khaimah
Ras al Khaimah is the perfect vacation spot for those seeking sun, beach, and relaxation. Ras al Khaimah is located about 90 km from the north of Dubai.

Fujairah is a small emirate with a relaxed atmosphere, which forms the perfect setting for a wonderful holiday focusing on the sun and beach.

Muscat is Oman’s beautiful and fascinating capital, which exudes colonial history, culture, and beautiful nature experiences just outside the door. The old port city is filled with ancient forts, fortresses, and beautiful, Arabian buildings.

Dubai; Emirates
Whether you are looking for sun and beach fun, romance and two-handedness, adventure and magnificent scenery or shopping and city life, Dubai and the Emirates meet all these desires and more.

Dreamy Dubai, Emiraternes Manhattan

Dubai is the Arab clone or version of Las Vegas and Manhattan – they just added a delicious beach and some first-rate golf courses and much more! See the soaring buildings and large-scale architecture, stay in luxury hotels with fine restaurants, go on adventures in the desert AND check out the big city atmosphere in a sun lounger on one of Dubai’s beautiful beaches. Also, Dubai is only a 6-hour flight from “most places”.

Shop till you drop in the Dubai Mall, with its 41,000 square meters, one of the world’s largest shopping centers. Here you can find everything – expensive and cheap. Even if you are not a shopping guideline, the center is worth an experience because, in addition to the fantastic clothing stores, it also has a huge fountain, an overwhelmingly beautiful aquarium, and a food department that can satisfy even the most quality-conscious life lovers.

indoors in Ski Dubai A huge indoor piste with chair lift, snow park, jumps, and trees in the middle of the Mall of the Emirates. Two hours including ski clothes and equipment cost about 300 kroner.

Dine on … …
the Japanese fusion restaurant Zuma in The Financial District. The decor is cool and styled, the quality is consistently high and there can be great drinks in the bar before or after dinner. Prices are like a good sushi restaurant in Denmark.

Treat yourself … …
with a Royal Hamam Spa at The One and Only Royal Mirage in the Jumeirah area where the Sheikhs live. It costs about 550 kroner for about one and a half hours of treatment.

Sightseeing in Dubai…
and visit, for example, the beautiful Jumeirah mosque with the two minarets – a fine example of modern, Islamic architecture. A quick stop at Burj al Arab, Burj Khalifa, and the Zabeel Palace, which houses the ruling family, is mandatory. In the Bastakiya district, which shows Dubai, as the city looked in ancient days with narrow streets and high windy winds, you can visit the Dubai Museum, which is located in the 180-year-old Al Fahidi fort.
If you are looking for exciting and inexpensive spices and nuts as well as gold jewelry at favorable prices, do not forget to pass the spice and gold soup at Dubai Creek.

Dubai. Burj Al Arab hotel

Dubai. Burj Al, Arab luxury hotel

Burj al Arab …
or the sail, which the iconic building is called in daily speech, is the most exclusive hotel in Dubai and one of Dubai’s hallmarks. The hotel is very expensive and private and you can’t get in there unless you have a reservation. Dinner at Burj comes quickly up to a few thousand dollars, but there are alternatives. For example, you can reserve a room for Afternoon Sky Tea for DKK 600 per person or drinks at Skyview Bar with minimum consumption of DKK 300 per person.

Burj Khalifa in Dubai is growing towards the sky
The Burj Khalifa is with its 828 meters the world’s tallest building and you can reach the stunning views in just one minute with the express lift. But be sure to book time in advance. If you come in from the street, it is often sold out several days in advance.

Dress code in Dubai … …
is casual. Dubai serves as the Middle Eastern headquarters of many large Western companies. Therefore, Dubai has many western inhabitants and is generally very marked. You can, therefore, dress pretty much as you like, but it is not nice to kiss each other on a public street.
