Zürich International Airport is one of the major airports in Switzerland. It lies 13 km north of the city centre of Zurich – the financial hub of Switzerland. The airport area actually includes parts of the municipalities of Kloten, Rümlang, Oberglatt, Winkel and Opfikon, all situated in the canton of Zurich.
SAS and Swiss Air offer direct connections, and the flying time is 1 hr. 40 min.
Several other airlines such as KLM and LOT fly the route with a stopover.
The airport connects Europe strategically. It is the obvious connecting point for onward connections within Switzerland, but that also applies to ski resort destinations in parts of Austria, France and even Italy as well. AND that´s only the adjacent areas.
Zürich
Zürich is the largest city in Switzerland with its 400,028 inhabitants, which makes it smaller than Aarhus. It is the capital of the canton of Zürich. The old city lies in beautiful natural surroundings on Lake Zurich which is fed by the River Limmat. It is, without doubt, the banking capital of Europe.
