Middle East

Looking for a trip to the Middle East?

The Middle East covers a number of exciting destinations that many tourists have taken to a long time ago, and some new, we should clearly experience as well.  They just waiting for a visit. Here are selected countries:

Ajman

Ajman

Ajman is Dubai’s relatively unknown “little brother” and the smallest of the 7 Emirates only a short drive from Dubai. Several  travel agencies arrange trips and excursions to this.

Ajman is the capital of the United Arab Emirates. It is located on the Arabian Peninsula on the coast of the Persian Gulf, just north of the neighboring city of Sharjah, with which it has grown.

The Emirate is one of the seven members of the United Arab Emirates. Until 1971, it was a British protectorate.

Kourion-Cyprus

Kourion-Cyprus

Cyprus is not a small island and has almost a population like Copenhagen (plus 1 mill.) , is an old civilization with a turbulent history. Location in the Middle East is only 80 km south of Turkey, west of Syria and Lebanon, northwest of Israel, north of Egypt and east of Greece. In other words, the big island is firmly located in the Middle East and the Mediterranean.

It is the third largest island in the Mediterranean and fills exactly 9,251 km². There is Cyprus as a republic and there is the northern part of the island with Turkish domination and finally, there is an English base still.

Dubai is a huge city divided into several districts. See also briefly below.

Dubai

Dubai (دبي) in the Middle East is one of the 7 emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates. It is a bit like an independent state/city at the same time, and it is the most ambitious of all 7. Especially tourism and commerce grow with such speed,  almost all other countries would envy. Dubai has won the offer to host EXPO 2020, a world-wide giant platform endorsed by the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE), Paris.

As a relatively new destination in the Middle East, Dubai was at full speed until 2008, and after the crisis growth has again accelerated. After all, it is a desert town that annexes the sea and the desert when building. Infrastructures are second-to-none and tourist facilities are known to most as extremely convenient.

egypt

Egypt and the pyramids

Egypt : Hardly any country is so strongly associated with one type of attraction, as is the case with Egypt and the Pyramids. Along with the statue of the fabled animal Sphinx, which originates from Egyptian as well as Greek mythology, the pyramids are one of the world’s most iconic tourist destinations. The mystery of how to build them, what is hidden in the tombs, and why the Egyptians for about. 4,500 years ago was able to construct a stone construction which today stands as the last of the seven worlds of the old world. The theories are many, and there are just prospects for more as the technology used to investigate the pyramids is improved. An obvious destination in the Middle East.

United Arab Emirates is an oil-rich desert country in the Middle East located in the southeastern Arabian Peninsula. The country is a federation of seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain.

Both Abu Dhabi and Dubai are well-known and interesting destinations for the Danes, but there is much more to see and experience in the Denarabian peninsula.

Jordan amazing beauty in the Middle East

Jordan amazing beauty in the Middle East

Jordan is mostly desert – but a wonderful desert. There are the dramatic red sandy landscapes and high sand cliffs to the south, while eastwards you experience endless basalt plains (Stenart). To the north, we find lush hills filled with olive trees, and in the middle of the country, there are wheat fields. Jordan lacks water in general. Especially in the summer, the country lacks water very badly, even though the inhabitants use a fraction of what we others usually find. Due to the lack of water and the high summer temperatures, Jordan is best to visit in April, May and September and October.

Qatar

According to the IMF, Qatar is the richest country in the world. It is also one of the smallest. And a newer country, only independent in the 1970s.
The wealth is due, among other things, to the country’s incredibly large gas and oil reserves that lie underground. In addition, it is a developing country, which e.g. also the Emirates, which with an incredibly large building and infrastructural projects, must secure the country in the future. Tourism is a key part of the development plans.
