Adventure travel to Canada from coast to coast
Adventure travel to Canada takes place in a great country leaving life-lasting travel memories. Canada offers magnificent nature such as the Rockies and fantastic cities such as Vancouver and Montreal.
Canada defines a travel category of its own: In one of the world´s largest countries, you can go from coast to coast from the Pacific to the Atlantic. From arctic til subtropical. You could travel here for the rest of your life and see only a fraction of Canada. Canada is an enormously big country with relatively few and very hospitable people, a very low crime rate, and very good hotels, camping, best skiing, and mountain trekking.
Canada’s East Coast or West Coast?
The first thing you should decide with limited time is whether you want to travel to the West Coast or the East Coast. What does your travel dream and curiosity about Canada contain? The distances are considerable in Canada, but the roads and air connections are top-notch. If you travel north, nature experiences await you, which probably require a special effort to achieve. Hardships cannot be ruled out. One of the last attainable pioneer travel experiences awaits somewhere in Canada.
The Canadian West and the Rockies
The Canadian Rockies are undoubtedly among the world’s most impressive mountain ranges and travel destinations and can become one of the greatest experiences of your travel life. Those of us who have done it are happy to sign here. But Canada is also more than that, of course. The country is actually slightly larger than the United States, and large parts are desolate and close to unexplored. There are national parks as far north as Ontario for those who really want to challenge themselves on a slightly more extreme vacation. Here you can only fly in and there are literally no amenities, not so much as a fire pit and quite a few bears and polar bears. But you are very welcome. So should it be a pure adventure, a bit of a survival tour or should it be extremely comfortable with the Pacific Ocean between your toes or a luxury ski holiday in Whistler?
You can of course also search for cities such as Vancouver, Ottawa (capital) and French-speaking Quebec and Montreal on the east coast. Great Canada can do it all.
Vancouver, see Chinatown and the whales of the North Pacific
Vancouver is the largest city in the province of British Columbia in Canada and is located right next to the Pacific Ocean in an incredibly beautiful bay with many islands and an extremely pleasant climate thanks to the Gulf Stream. Here you can see whales and sea eagles and enjoy a laid-back city that still has a pioneering spirit and a lot of warmth.
The Greater Vancouver area has about 2.4 million inhabitants and is the third largest urban area in Canada, after Toronto and Montréal. Vancouver is one of the largest cities in Canada with the greatest linguistic and ethnic diversity; 52% of the inhabitants have a mother tongue other than English. Vancouver has, among other things, its own Chinatown with authentic Chinese restaurants. Vancouver has Canada’s largest port. Forestry is still Vancouver’s largest industry, but the city’s location among the mountains helps make tourism the city’s second largest industry. The many film studios in Greater Vancouver have made the city one of North America’s largest cities for the production of films.
Deep snow in Whistler, Rocky Mountains, Canada.
Whistler is all about skiing at the highest level in powder snow.
Whistler is known by many for its incredibly good skiing and is a city in British Columbia in the Rocky Mountains, Canada. The city has 9,824 inhabitants. Two million people visit the city each year, most of them on a ski holiday to the city’s ski resort, Whistler Blackcomb. The city co-hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics with Vancouver, which was the second time the Winter Olympics were held in Canada.

Banff National Park, brown bears, and beautiful mountains
Banff National Park in the Rocky Mountains is a must-visit when in Canada. The place holds great beauty and some unforgettable mountainous nature with bears, eagles & salmon, and many other animals you actually see on your trip for sure.
It is Canada’s oldest national park. It was established in 1885 in The Canadian Rockies, the Canadian part of the Rocky Mountains. The park, located 110-180 km west of Calgary in the province of Alberta, covers an area of 6,641 km² of mountainous terrain with numerous glaciers, dense coniferous forests and mountain meadows. The Icefields Parkway stretches from Lake Louise in the south, connecting to Jasper National Park in the north.
The Canadian Pacific Railway was important to Banff in the early years when they built both the Banff Springs Hotel and Chateau Lake Louise, attracting tourists to the site through extensive advertising. In the early 20th century, roads were built in Banff, some built by internees and some via public works programs started during the Great Depression.
East Coast Canada
Toronto is located in the middle part of Canada and is an extremely dynamic and large city as well as the capital of the province of Ontario. The city is also one of the most important financial and commercial centers in Canada and North America. Toronto is home to more than 80 ethnic groups, including Danes, and more than 100 different languages, making Toronto one of the most multicultural cities in the world. English and French are the official languages in Toronto, but English is the most dominant, but as mentioned there are also large ethnic groups approx. 350,000 Chinese, 400,000 Italians, 127,000 Greeks and many others.

Ottawa, Canada’s capital
Ottawa is the official capital of Canada. Ottawa is the capital of Canada and has 1,190,982 inhabitants. The Ottawa River, which divides Quebec and Ontario, runs through Ottawa. The city is located in the province of Ontario, but Quebec is close by and both French and English are spoken in the city. Ottawa was founded in 1855. Ottawa is developing into a true knowledge center for high technology, where IT companies are springing up in greater numbers. In this connection, the city has mentioned no less than two estimated universities.
Eastern Canada
Montreal. Typical and classic French area. Travel to Canada, the French part
Montreal, a French footprint in Canada. Travel to Canada, here the east side of the country:
Montreal is the second largest French-speaking city in the world and an unmistakable French charm and cultural touch from food to art. Coming from the USA or western Canada. saw it as a charming difference in one’s journey, to discover a piece of French-inspired culture and an accent that distinctly carries a French gene in it. Montreal is located in the Canadian province of Quebec. The city is the province of Quebec’s largest city with 1.7 million. inhabitants and 4 million residents of the metropolitan region. It is Canada’s second-largest city and North America’s 8th largest. The city is named after Mount Royal, a hill in the center of the city. The city is located on Île de Montréal as well as on a few smaller islands around it, the largest known as Île Bizard.
Read Mikkel’s personal account of a Montreal that was much more interesting, than he thought. “Planning my stay in Montreal was, as usual, about finding out what I was going to experience in the city, and not least where I was going to live. As you know, plans are subject to change, and a few days in Montreal changed both my plans and my perception of the city to that extent.”

Quebec, três charmante in eastern Canada
The city of Québec is absolutely worth seeing and charming. It is the capital of the Canadian province of Québec. The old town is the only city in North America north of Mexico whose fortifications still exist. The city has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Québec currently has 528,595 inhabitants.
Niagara Falls on the Canadian side
Niagara Falls is famous as one of the world’s most impressive waterfalls. Here you get married, while others (decisions, decisions) have preferred to sit down and take the whole trip down with mixed results. Niagara Falls can be seen from both the US and Canadian sides of the border. A must on any trip within 100 km. of the place.:
