Bora Bora

Bora Bora

Bora Bora Island is all about true relaxation. The Polynesian lifestyle guarantees it. The Bora Bora people are never in a hurry, and the island certainly represents this laid back lifestyle.

Once described as “a small emerald in a turquoise setting, surrounded by a brilliant pearl necklace”, this almost mythical island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful islands in the world.

Many travel magazines and journals have tried to capture the mythical beauty of the island of Bora Bora in a few pages, a few photographs, and yet none of these is enough to truly reflect and describe what you experience once you are there, absorbing its tropical beauty.

The island is surrounded by a lagoon and a coral reef

Located at a distance of almost 230 kilometers to the northwest of Papeete, the island is surrounded by a lagoon and a coral reef. Right in the center of the island, you can see the remains of an annihilated volcano that mounts on two different peaks called Monte Pahia and Monte Otemanu. The highest point of the peak is 727 meters. Suffered greatly during World War II, Bora Bora Island today is a nature paradise, with most of the attractions in your bed.

The island offers beautiful beaches that entice people to explore more, several incredible resorts, and magnificent views that cannot be seen anywhere else in the world. Truly, a vacation on the island of Bora Bora will offer memories to last a lifetime. Words will always be short to describe or explain the beauty of the island. Roll your eyes to anywhere on the island and you will see captivating views that soothe the eyes and minds of all people. Being part of France, this island offers almost everything to be called as a paradise. It is an ideal destination for newly married couples or newly found lovebirds. So if you’re the one, don’t waste time planning a destination. Just pack your bags and go to her.

Bora Bora Island will never disappoint anyone. Enjoy its serenity to the fullest; Enjoy exploring the places on foot and enjoy as much as you can. The island has many leisure activities to offer you on the beaches that stretch to offer a cozy atmosphere. When it comes to traveling, the best answer depends on personal preference. If you are a nature fanatic, then the Bora Bora islands will certainly take your breath away. Miraculously, the island has so much charm and attractions that there will be no one in the world who can escape it. The best time to visit the islands will be in the months of May to October, when Polynesian winters bring their cool weather to appeal to everyone.

During the winter season, you will find that the island is almost full of many travelers crowding here from different parts of the world.

Walk around Bora Bora? Only 20 miles

The round island road is less than 20 miles long, so many visitors go all the way by bike, scooter, or car. The best place to leave is the Vaitape Pier, on the west coast, the main city of the island. Along the way, spectacular views of Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu emerge the two extinct volcanoes of Bora Bora. One option to see more of Bora Bora is to take a guided sightseeing tour. Otemanu Tours, performed in an open-air truck, exposes tourists to additional places that are not visible from the road.

The charm of this island is enhanced by a stunningly colored lagoon, whose turquoise blue changes a variety of shades throughout the day, and by the barrier reef that protects it. Part of the beauty of the island is the activities that the water around it makes possible. For those looking for a beach, Matira Beach, with its secluded shores, at the southern tip of the island, is stunning.

Diving and snorkeling opportunities are almost everywhere. The main tourist centers offer the opportunity to get close to numerous species of tropical fish, colorful marine crustaceans and brilliant corals. Manta rays are the stars of the show. The largest dive centers on the island are TOPdive Bora Bora, Blue Nui Dive Center, DiveEasy and Bora Diving Center.
