Glasgow is Scotland’s largest city and the third-largest in the UK. It is located in western Scotland’s Lowlands. Glasgow has grown from being a small town in the rural area of the Clyde River to become one of the largest ports in the world. The expansion of the medieval bishopric and the royal burgh, and later the establishment of the University of Glasgow in the 15th century.
