Sri Lanka is a state in southern Asia, consisting of a larger island and a number of small islands located southeast of India. The country was called Ceylon until 1972 and was one of the countries hard hit by the tsunami following the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake on December 26, 2004.
The country is today a uniquely beautiful travel country.
