London Gatwick Airport is London´s second largest, international airport with the highest volume of traffic in Great Britain after Heathrow, on a passenger- per -year basis. It takes just 1 hr. 47 min. to reach London from Copenhagen, and you land close to the city, which is a huge advantage. Several airlines have direct flights from Copenhagen to London Gatwick Airport, including Norwegian and EasyJet.
London Gatwick Airport is modern with an attractive, contemporary design. The airport has a reasonable selection of restaurants, cafés and duty free shops, etc. A direct train service (The Gatwick Express) departs the South Terminal train station for the city centre every 15 min. round the clock, and takes 40 minutes. It also connects to the London Underground. A free shuttle service between the North and South terminals takes 2 minutes, and runs 24/7. It is located beside the train station in the South Terminal.
The airport lies between Horley in Surrey and Crawley in West Sussex, approx. 40 km south of London, and 40 km north of Brighton.
