Herakleia Salbace (Tavas-Vakıf village) was another ancient city where the chief gods were Asclepius (the god of health) and her wife Hygeia (god of health and sanitation). In this city, there was a medical faculty where the most famous doctors of the ancient world were raised.

Hierapolis (Pamukkale) is known as “Holy City”. The reasons are healer hot springs, spas and temples. Hierapolis was the most famous treatment center of ancient Roman civilization. If you visit, you can have the chance to see Nymphaeum (Antique Fountain) and the Roman Baths with their magnificent architectural structures.
