Düsseldorf International Airport is one of Germany´s international airports, and is situated approx. 9 km north of Dusseldorf in the German state of North Rhine Westphalia. It operates as the major airport hub for the entire Rhine-Ruhr region.
The airport is the third largest airport in Germany after Frankfurt and Munich, and handles 23.5 million passengers a year (2016). It is the main hub for airlines such as Eurowings and Lufthansa.
