Seminyak Beach, the famous place to visit in Bali
Seminyak Beach is by far the most well-known part of Bali seen from the view of the discerning visitor´s preferences. It is not the cheapest either, but if you like a wonderful beach, gorgeous shopping, and high-end restaurants real close by, this is your place to hang out for a while.
Seminyak Beach may not be the most authentic Bali, due to the number of fashionable restaurants, cool beach bars and brand stores like Gucci and Dolce Gabbana. The Balinese cultural influence is by now modest, but that is the price to pay for such westernized luxury. And you can simply rent a car or a taxi and go exploring the island from this, your comfort zone of choice.
But on the other hand, it is full of bustling activity from morning till night, primarily for an audience ready to part with some money for the good time, without having to be a millionaire. You may well in addition to enjoying a good party or two, also appreciate delicious food, refreshing wellness, good space on the almost endless long beach and small seductive drinks with umbrellas always within arm’s length.
The beach seems endless, primarily because it is really long, but also because Seminyak continues into new beaches with other names on both sides. Let’s pick up a few pointers up here.
Pick another beach near Seminyak
Seminyak’s Petitenget Beach is the most private beach and offers a stunningly beautiful sunset. The two sister beaches of Kuta and Legian to the south are clearly worth visiting too. Try yourself a bit, and you will quickly find your favorite spot. After an hour of sunshine on one side and an hour on the other, you may be ready for some shade and a couple of delicious chill-out places. It could be Bali’s best chill out spots like
Potato Head Beach Club
Swim, eat, sip and relax in one of two infinity pools, on a daybed, at the restaurants or under the shade of swaying palms. A sun-drenched soundtrack means wherever you unwind, you’ll never miss a beat.
Pick a signature restaurant in Seminyak, Mama San of course
Should we choose a cool restaurant that does not tear your credit card into nanoparticles, then it is the Scottish chain Mama San. Here you get delicious and even healthy classic indo kitchen in charming abandons. Here is almost always busy in a good relaxed way, so book just before coming.
Scottish chef Will Meyrick’s has a whole chain of restaurants in Asia. And Mama San is in the heart of Seminyak’s famous shopping & dining area. The food inspiration is Asian street food, and the interior is cut out of British colonial times in Shanghai. A city that today is totally transformed. So it’s homage to a charming lost time in Asia in this restaurant. Mama San in Seminyak is open all day, but lunch is the most popular time. Try it. Massaman the curry with chicken, onion pumpkin, potatoes, peanuts, and tamarind. Bon appetite. Rates from under $ 15
