Wellness in Kleinwalsertal in Austria

Wellness vacation in Kleinwalsertal from a pilgrimage to yoga.

Let’s start with something that unites mind and body better than most things. A pilgrimage is far from just a dusty group trip. It is a time-out and an opportunity to get away from the stresses of everyday life and just be yourself. Through Mühlviertel’s magical landscapes, the pilgrimage path Johannesweg (Johannesvejen) goes, and here, in the midst of beautiful nature, you have plenty of opportunities to give time to yourself. You can think of new energy, get to know yourself better and who knows what else? There may be many reasons to go on a pilgrimage, but one thing is certain: you are a better version of yourself when you get home. That is a great result.

Hiking marathon and strudel party in Mittersill

If you have always dreamed of participating in a real walking marathon, you now have the chance to go to Mittersill in August. During the annual “water days” ca.  31 August to 2 September, a 42 km route is also offered, which, as something new, counts in the IVV Marathon Cup Series. The routes are laid along some of Mittersill’s most beautiful and most worthwhile hiking routes. Sunday it all ends with a strudel party, where you can enjoy the taste of the delicious pastries. In addition to the traditional apple strudel, the locals also serve their own creations in all kinds of flavors of strudel. Worth all 42 km.

Hohe Tauern – a treat for your soul

Some say there are places in Austria that are best experienced with the ears, because the magnificent landscapes are too overwhelming, if you open your eyes. If appropriate, the Hohe Tauern National Park is certainly such a place. There are not many places in the Alps where the interaction between time and geology has led to such an enchanting and magnificent nature. But we think you should just open your eyes and enjoy the enchanting landscape

Taking your time – the ultimate luxury

Relax from everyday life and practice concentrating on one thing at a time. Be present. Be present in the present with all your senses. The value of it is more than just a transient sense of well-being. In the long run, it makes you far more satisfied – both with yourself and your life. Our colleague has practiced it on his own body and has given us tips on how to do – and the best places in Austria to practice. Holidays can be more a respite.
